Har Karkom HK190, HK190b / d) HK190 rhomboid fem

Comment: Here at the same site as the 'pick' figurine is a rhomboid shaped core, that I suggest may be identified as a female figurine. In agreement with interpretations of the Archaeologische Berichten group (NL), I would argue that many Middle Paleolithic peoples reverenced a female divinity which they represented in a stereotypical, canonical fashion in the form of a triangular or rhomboid shape, which derives from the Acheulian geometric bifacial core. This divinity has been referred to as the 'Tri-Goddess'. The artifact in this slide even has a 'naval-womb' circle, which appears intentionally pecked out.
