HK19A and 19B, Har Karkom, Israel, c. 128,000 to 50,000 BP; g) hk19b circle contentThe artifacts in the HK 19B hutfloor white stone circle. The circle is about 70 cm in diameter, and some of the white limestones are visible, one in center, others lower right. In this stone circle were at least 10 artifacts, including 7 that I interpret as intentional zoomorphic sculptures, and 3 flakes, one pentangular, one rhomboid, and one flake with retouch. I placed the 'horsehead' shaped flint on the stone at center to make it more visible. The next photos are close ups of each of the artifacts. Photo © James Harrod.
